all about ambiance

brother and sis-in-law dropped by to visit.  i was forced to go to Farmer's since whatever left-over lunch we had would not be enough for two more people.  (i was supposed to do my marketing tomorrow since i'm committed to reading and writing, which was what i was doing when they got here).  but i realized that it would be a good time for some inihaw for dinner since we have company (and a better time to go to Farmer's since my SIL is, i think, more exposed to pamamalengke.

for four adults --- we had grilled stuffed pusit and grilled eggplant, steamed crabs, boiled kamote tops and fruits (duhat, which i like!; green mangoes and bangkok santol).  it was just like eating by the seashore while enjoying the sun.  of course, i had to imagine that our red placemats were banana leaves and our black plates were non-existent.

(that would be B beside SIL and his san mig light.)

(SIL with our share of crab, grilled eggplant and my duhat.)

(mr P and the claw that he would crack for me.) before you accuse me of being prima donna, which i'm not (ahem!), he does that while i dissect the crab and pull out all the meat, which we eat together.  give and take, walang lamangan. parehong alila! hahahaha!

i was also able to buy tuna, which i'd make ala pobre  for dinner sometime this week; sugpo, which is meant for halabos; and ampalaya, which i will saute with suahe again.

it's fun going to the market.  everything is cheaper than the grocery, and the manong and aling tindera call me "miss", which literally bloats my ego like helium being injected to a sad-looking piece of rubber turned "star of the party balloon."

next time, i'd make sure to buy some siniguelas.
