1. For Fridays because I know that the weekend is within my reach, and we (boys and i) have more time with mr p.
2. Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to present my paper in a class in Ateneo. It made me realize how worthwhile research is and also how exciting it is to teach. (I hope to have more chances of research and teaching.)
3. To be honest and transparent in my past work experiences allowing me to take that NBI check (on me) without fear nor anxiety. Thanks to the values (of dignity in labor, honesty and respect) that my parents instilled in me.
4. To pray the Rosary with my family every night and being able to articulate every prayer intention so openly.
5. To form the habit of reading the Bible and get reaffirmed all the time.
6. To watch all those action-packed and scary movies that allow me to scream without being unapologetic. (For Real Steel that reminded me how important it is to have a relationship with your parents in the truest sense.)
7. To enjoy full, homecooked meals (and thinking about getting fatter) but eating well and with good company nonetheless. (To be able to eat ginataang halo-halo, champorado with tuyo, grilled hotdogs (over hot coals!), tocilog and corned beef hash leisurely without the panic of running late or catching a deadline).
8. To be drawing a TO BUY list in mid-air and revising it every so often, allowing me to go crazy and overboard then practical in a span of 2 minutes. (To be wishing for a new bag and ballet flats from Rustan's in Shang and going thru that usual dilemma of where to eat afterwards).
9. To look forward to having work again and giving my best. (and to be scheduled this May for the next phase for my eligibility as CESO.)
10. To afternoon naps and those sappy teleseryes, confrontational and ultimate drama moments in Eat Bulaga, Face to Face and T3 that I spend my time on.
11. To the chicken macaroni salad I have perfected during the Holidays.
12. To the presents I have received and given.
13. To emails and chats I shared with Julia.
14. To the (wise, contemplative) talks I have with my aunts who are with us albeit temporarily.
15. To have generally good skin that allows me to skip those facials so I would have money for my usual pedicure because my toes are the more needy parts of my body. (To spend money wisely, the little I have left from my last paycheck).
16. To read my friends' blogs, especially those that move me and inspire me to be a better person as they are beautiful persons through and through (Thanks to Jo, Gay, Bing and Diane!)
17. To have those silent moments and times of arguments with mr p because we are such an old couple that we need some jolts here and there to strengthen us, ground us and remind us why we are commmitted to each other in the first place. To well-meant and heartfelt "i love you", "sorry" and "thank you".
18. To be annulled and to carry my maiden name with more pride and joy.
19. To meet new friends even in the darkest and trying moments of life, during the annulment (atty joy), project (tita mel); and to be reminded that I do keep good friends, especially on times of need --- annulment (chuchi), work and in between work (ninong ver, tess and len)
20. To my boys who have been preparing me for Motherhood because of their unique personalities that force me to be more patient and see them as special individuals.
21. To love, faith and hope that keep me going.
22. To God, who is in control, molding me endlessly and giving me the Grace to take all these blessings and trials humbly.
